FAQs
What do I wear?
MASSAGE: For a massage, you will typically undress completely (or leave underwear on). You will be draped securely with a sheet for the duration of the session with only the area being worked on being un-draped. There are some types of massage that may be performed fully clothed so if that is your preference, please speak with your massage therapist.
FACIALS: For facials, you will typically undress from the waist up and be draped with a cozy sheet, towels and blanket. This protects your clothes from being exposed to skincare products and moisture while allowing your neck, shoulders, arms and hands to be available to receive massage. For Express Facials (30-minutes) you do not need to undress, we can protect your clothes with a towel as massage (aside from facial massage) is not performed during these appointments.
Should I shave first?
MASSAGE: No need to shave prior to receiving a massage. Body hair is no problem! If being clean-shaven for your session is important to you, please shave at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. Do not shave the day-of as your skin will be more likely to become irritated.
FACIALS: If you shave or wax your facial hair, please do so at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled facial. Do not shave the day-of your facial as your skin is more likely to become irritated. If you have a beard, mustache or side-burns, you can still receive a facial, the skin of your face in the area of your facial hair may be avoided depending upon the thickness of the hair or the products selected for the service.
Men need facials too.
WAXING: Please don’t. To effectively provide a waxing hair removal service, the hair should be at least the length of a grain of rice.
Do you really need to know my health history and medications?
Yes. Please disclose all health and medication information to your provider. This helps our provider to give you good service and make treatment decisions that are safe for you based on your unique situation. Your information is always kept confidential, strictly between you and your service provider.
Should I tip my provider?
This is totally up to you. The best tip you can give your service provider is to write them an amazing google and/or social media review and refer your friends, family and colleagues.
Tips are accepted but never expected. Please feel no pressure either way.
